Mr. Stirtz has over 40 years of experience in systems development and commercialization. He started his career by forming a successful software development company, Custom Software, in 1979, while still a Computer Science student at California State University of Fullerton. After graduation in 1981, with a BS in Computer Science, he worked for Hughes Aircraft Company, Northrop Electronics and GE Aerospace as a Senior Software Developer. Through a series of mergers and acquisitions, he spent over 28 years at Lockheed Martin where he held numerus senior positions in systems development, program management and business development.
His development experience has included Astro-Inertial Navigation Systems (classified), GPS space and ground segments, MILSTAR ground segment, Second TDRSS Ground Station (STGT), visualization/mapping systems (classified), and other related technology areas.
As Program Director at Lockheed Martin Mr. Stirtz was responsible for adjacent market development for a wide variety of applications and systems in commercial/government markets, civil/defense, and domestic and international markets.
His commercialization projects ranged from gaming/graphics systems, biometric systems, cyber security systems, identity management systems, airport baggage handling, airport build/own/operate, to health care systems.
Prior to joining esc Aerospace, Mr. Stirtz was Managing Partner for d2 Business Performance Group were he and his company provided business services to support small and mid-sized companies to improve performance, commercialize products and start/grow their businesses.
