Peter Hancock is ForgeRock’s VP of Solution Architecture and Customer Engagement Programs, the digital identity management company transforming the way organizations interact securely with customers, employees, devices, and things.
Peter’s 25+ year career as an executive leader and practitioner in Information Technology and Security has ranged from Cyber Security and Defense, Incident Response, Business Continuity, and Data Center Management. Prior to ForgeRock, he served in multiple leadership roles at Symantec Corporation, including Global Sales Enablement, Americas’ Professional Services and Pre-Sales, and Executive Sponsor of the Rio2016 Olympic Games. As the Executive Sponsor of Symantec’s Official Supplier relationship with the Rio2016 Olympic Committee, he was responsible for overseeing the security strategy for the Olympic Games, relations with the Rio2016 Executive team and Security Operations Center, as well as communication and public relations within Symantec. In addition, Peter is an active member of NPower’s National Advisory Council (and previously served as co-Chairman), was a recipient of their Volunteer of the Year leadership award, and led the efforts to create their Cyber Education classroom and internship program – now in its 4th graduating class, and placing over 100 students into full time Cyber jobs. NPower is a national nonprofit focused on bridging the digital divide by engaging both the social and corporate technology sectors, providing information technology services to nonprofits and training to young adults and Veterans. Finally, during his time at Symantec, Peter served on the Cyber Insurance Product Partnership steering committee; and, prior, he served on the Board of Directors for the Mid-Atlantic Disaster Recovery Association. Peter earned his Bachelors of Science in Management from Babson College in Massachusetts, where he spent a majority of his life. Peter now resides in the Washington D.C. region with his wife and two children. |
