Steve Sawyer is a 21-year supply chain mgmt. & procurement (SCMP) executive with published successes driving change management and cost savings. Presently, he leads the centralized SCMP Americas category mgmt. operations platform team.
Steve is responsible for managing direct, indirect and trailing financial spend cube predictive analytics and data modeling (e.g. geography, operations, capital and construction financials, rate cards, work work SLAs). In addition, managing multi-U.S. account group bids and supplier RISK, performance and scorecard mgmt. KPIs.
Steve has 20 years of experience working in the healthcare industry. He has worked in hospitals and health systems in roles ranging from bad debt collection, health plans and in human resources. He also worked for Premier a major healthcare GPO overseeing the facilities, environmental services, construction and energy line of business, and chaired a facilities committee representing 19 hospital systems. Steve ran the Americas healthcare strategic sourcing platform for CBRE.
Steve has saved multi-state health systems more than $50 million through his management of $1 billion-plus in spend spanning across 100+ (medical and non-medical goods and services) industries. In addition, he has published several articles on the importance of brand, standardization, cleaning and vertical centralization.

Steve holds an MBA in Business Administration from Queens University-McColl School of Business in Charlotte, NC, and received his Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Radford University in Radford, VA.
